Somatic Mentoring for Practitioners

For sensitive empath practitioners who have already done the talk-based supervision, mindset work, or professional development… yet still feel like something is missing when it comes to protecting your energy. You love guiding others but notice consistent patterns of depletion, emotional overwhelm & overstimulation from your helping work.

I find many helping practitioners are deeply self-aware and insightful, yet still struggle to fully integrate what they know into their everyday lives and practice when it comes to tending to self.

This work differs from purely talk based approaches by turning toward the body. Through experiential practices that support self attunement for deeper change, embodiment and self trust.

Rather than simply analysing what is happening, we gently work with what is arising in the body, nervous system and energetic experience so change can begin to feel tangible, lived and sustainable.

Through mentoring we explore current challenges you’re facing in your work and life - boundaries, capacity, decision-making and relational dynamics, while also tuning into your body, your energy, and your deeper internal guidance.

My intention in this work is to guide you back to your body and to your Self energy. The wise, compassionate, steady part of you that already knows what you need.

This is the part of you that knows:

  • when to set a boundary

  • when to rest

  • how to make aligned decisions

  • how to care for yourself without guilt

Mentoring with me is about building your capacity to trust your internal cues and approach them with compassion. I teach you lifelong tools where you can build self trust and learn relate to yourself in a compassionate way. I guide you to feel what’s true and aligned for you, and to act on it.

Through mentoring, I guide you to:

  • Build self-trust in your internal cues so you can support others without losing connection to yourself

  • Understand your unique energy patterns (what depletes vs energises you)

  • Understand your sensory needs so you can feel more resourced in both your work & everyday life

  • Learn tools to regulate and resource yourself in real time

  • Develop embodied, sustainable boundaries to stop overriding your energy and needs

  • Make decisions from clarity rather than pressure or guilt

This becomes the foundation for a working life that feels grounded, sustainable, and yours.

Practitioners who are drawn to my work:

  • Love their work, but feel often drained and overstimulated

  • Live with sensitivity, neurodiversity or persistent health issues

  • Always feel “on” and can’t switch off outside of work

  • Override their needs to avoid letting others down & then feel resentful

  • Appear calm & capable on the outside, but feel a quiet internal overwhelm & depletion

  • Find themselves often getting activated and overstimulated leading to increased stress, worry & fatigue

  • Have noticed the same patterns playing out, but cannot seem to move past them (perfectionism, people pleasing, overworking, always saying yes).

This is a space to meet your authentic self, and to build a way of working & living that no longer overrides your energy.

Other things to note:

  • Session notes are included for all my mentoring offerings to support reflection, integration and continued embodiment of the work between sessions.

  • In person sessions can also be offered on Mondays, Tuesdays & selected Saturdays at Woody Point & can be scheduled through my online booking page.

  • Online sessions are offered on weekdays & are booked manually by email request via my contact page.

  • Please note I am not available for online sessions on Saturdays and I am not available for evening sessions - my brain does not function well at night!

My Approach

In my mentoring work with practitioners I blend embodied listening practices, somatic inquiry, attunement & resourcing, Internal Family Systems (IFS) concepts (parts work), radical self compassion practices, nervous system education, sensory processing and grounded practical wisdom from my background as a mental health Occupational Therapist.

My work is trauma informed and also shaped by my own lived experience of sensitivity, neurodiversity & navigating chronic health issues & depletion within helping professions.

It is always my intention to guide you to find a resourced and sustainable way of working that serves you. If you love your work but simultaneously find yourself depleted, drained and overwhelmed by it, then this space allows you to build self trust, learn lifelong tools to protect your energy and to make decisions that align with your energy!
